[Lawrenceville, GA] - As a way to say "thank you" to our Pastors and their wives, C.O.G.B.E. sponsored
and hosted a FREE Outback dinner, with BBQ ribs and BBQ chicken. With support from NAMB and the
GBC, they contacted Outback and secured a date, fully prepared to spend a great deal of money on
the meal, and it was worth every cent.

When following up in January, it was discovered that Outback no longer provided catering services,
and that the date had been cancelled. BUT! Through the grace of God, this same Outback had a
great relationship already established with North Metro First Baptist Church. Realizing the importance
of this meal, the manager went the extra mile (or 10!). He secured volunteers from the restaurant
to serve, and decided that due to the new Outback policy, he could not even charge for the meal!

The GBC Evangelism Dept., North Metro workers (especially Cheryl!) and Outback have the
heartfelt gratitude of all the members of COGBE for helping them provide the first of what
will hopefully be many exciting events sponsored by COGBE.          (-eb, sec/treas)
